The students of TEPAES are preparing to provide educational services in a world that, on the one hand, now has the necessary knowledge to overcome human needs, while on the other hand, is increasingly facing the problem of its division into countries with knowledge and power and underdeveloped and dependent countries.

The revolutionary changes taking place in society, with the development of new information and communication technologies, are radically shaping both the world of work and private and public life. In the face of these changes, it is impossible for the school to remain unchanged. On the contrary, it is obliged to contribute to the processes of social change towards humanized forms of living. For this reason, it must: • train children in the behavior of solidarity and social responsibility
develop their self-confidence and the ability to communicate, to dialogue and to find, in this way, solutions to their problems
provide knowledge about the economic, political, cultural, historical and ecological relations that shape people's living conditions today
develop the ability of children to act as democratic citizens.

Graduates, by acquiring this type of professional competence, will be able to actively participate, in a gentle and creative manner, in the planning and implementation of reform actions, with the aim of an attractive and flexible school mechanism that will satisfy both local social expectations and the modern needs of international competition and culture.

Graduates of the Department of Early Childhood Education and Educational Planning acquire the necessary scientific knowledge, abilities and skills in combination with the necessary research abilities and skills, in order to work as early childhood educators in the public and private sectors. Furthermore, to the extent that the emphasis of the Curriculum on the axis of Educational Planning allows the formation of a modern professional profile of graduates with the additional cultivation of abilities and skills in the design and administration of Preschool Education school units, management of local social educational and training actions with planned utilization of Information and Communication Technologies, as well as the production of diverse educational-pedagogical material, graduates of the Department may be involved as consultants, designers, animators, administrators in the micro/macro organization of social, educational and training actions, at a local or supra-local level and in different contexts (such as, in Ministries' and Municipalities' Programs, in the Organization of the Operation of Nursery Schools and Kindergartens, in Training Programs in Businesses and other workplaces, in Lifelong Education Programs, in Adult Education Programs, in private and public bodies for the design of special educational actions, etc.).

Graduates of the Department of Early Childhood Education and Educational Planning, based on their scientific expertise and know-how, may be employed in the public and private sectors as early childhood educators and in any other position requiring a university degree.

The professional rights of the graduates of the Department are legally guaranteed (article 12 of Law 1566/85, Government Gazette 167/1985, vol. A).
