B')\nMember of the National Council of Environmental Education who has joined the laboratory, Anastasia Kamenidou<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The purpose of the laboratory is to cover research needs related to issues related to the conduct of research and studies in the scientific field of Environmental Education and Training and to the education and training of teachers and trainers who implement Environmental Education Programs. Also, to raise awareness and inform individuals and social groups on issues related to the environment, Environmental Education and Sustainability, to create and provide teaching and pedagogical material for Environmental Education and to implement pilot educational interventions in the classroom. At the same time, to support teachers who implement Environmental Education and Education for Sustainability Programs, to develop research and applications in Information, Communication and Media Technologies, which support Environmental Education, as well as to develop and evaluate special programs and experimental productions using ICT. Finally, in the systematic organization of this research both to enhance the training and education of the students of the Department itself and to enhance Environmental Education and Research on its various forms and to upgrade the work of teachers as researchers and educators.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The aim of the laboratory is to conduct research studies in the scientific field of Environmental Education and train teachers and educators who implement environmental education programs. It aims at developing public understanding and awareness of environmental education and sustainable development as well as\u00a0 creating and providing teaching end educational material for Environmental Education. The objectives of the laboratory also include the implementation of pilot educational interventions in school class related to research and educational activities in the field of environmental education. In addition, this laboratory\u00a0 supports teachers who implement environmental and sustainable development programs, conducts research in information technology, communication and mass media and designs activities related to environmental education. It also develops and evaluates specialized environmental programs using technology of information and communication, organizes systematically research for enhancing students&#8217; training and education as well as promoting environmental education and research. style=\"text-align: justify;\">The aim of the laboratory is to cover the educational and research needs in the following fields: Special Education, Psychometrics, Developmental Psychology, School Psychology, Psychopathology, Clinical Psychology, Pedagogical Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Creative Learning, Psychological Assessment of Children&#8217;s Drawing, Projective Personality Tests. It systematically organizes research for enhancing the training and education of the undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Department and PhD candidates. It also conducts research and studies in the related scientific areas.<br \/>\nIn addition, the teaching staff of the laboratory designs and provides teaching and educational material for psychology and its related fields. The implementation of educational and psychological interventions in school context, resulting from research and educational activities, are also included in the activities of the laboratory. In addition, the collaboration with Psychology Departments in Greece and abroad, the management of European and International Research Programs and the organization of seminars, scientific conferences produce academic research in the fields of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in Education, Mathematics Education, Science Education, as well as in the wider field of Educational of speech, with emphasis on theatre, children\u2019s and youth\u2019s neo-Hellenic literature. Cultivated subjects include the theatre education and pedagogy, the study of the children&#8217;s book, the reading theories, and the interpretation of literary texts, as well as the development of original pedagogical material covering the whole spectrum of these arts. Also covered are the educational and teaching requirements of the department\u2019s scientific field of \u201cLiterature, Language and Culture\u201d, as well as the post graduate program \u201cChildren&#8217;s Book and Pedagogical Material\u201d. Methods are being developed to educate students and teachers, in order to link learning with the local community of Rhodes.
