The graduates of the Department of Preschool Education Sciences and Educational Design can be employed in the public as well as the private sector as preschool teachers or in any other position requiring a BA. The graduates’ professional rights are legislatively safeguarded by Article 12, Law 1566/85, F.E.K.167/1985, Issue A’.
The graduates of the Department of Pre-School Education and Educational Design acquire the necessary scientific and research knowledge, competences and skills, in combination with the necessary skills to operate as preschool teachers in the public and private sectors. Moreover, due to the emphasis given on educational planning and the formation of modern professional profiles, with extra skills and competencies on planning and management of preschool educational units, on local management of education and training activities, on ICT use, and on producing diverse teaching material, the graduates can work as consultants, designers, animators and managers of micro–level and macro-level social, educational and training activities, in different contexts (such as educational activities promoted by Ministries, Municipalities, operation of nursery schools and/or kindergartens, workplace training, lifelong learning and adult education programs, in the private and public sectors, design of special educational activities etc.).
